From your 2026-2027 Lower School Council: Welcome to the School Year

Dear Families,

Welcome back to all returning families and a warm welcome to all new families! We hope you have been enjoying the summer with friends and family.

By way of introduction, we represent your 2026-27 Lower School Parents Association. We are dedicated to supporting our vibrant Lower School community and ensuring you feel the sense of kindness and love that’s makes Lab so special. As a resource for all families, we want to know what you need, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to any member of our team to share ideas, ask questions or share feedback! 

In addition, over the summer, the PA has been busy planning various all-school events that will take place throughout the upcoming academic year. We hope you will join us for these events, which will be announced in the monthly eNews—more information can also be found here on the PA website.

Of course, none of this would be possible without volunteer support! There are many volunteer opportunities available to fit your schedule and interests, each fostering a shared sense of community with fellow Lab families. Each of us can attest that volunteering has greatly enhanced our connection to the school, other parents and families.

Whether you’re interested in volunteering at an event or as a room parent for your child’s classroom, we are happy to share our experiences and help you find the right opportunity. Additionally, you can join us at the Volunteer Engagement Fair on Friday, September 11th from 8:10am-9:30am in the Main Lobby of Earl Shapiro Hall to learn more.
