From your 2026-2027 Early Childhood Council: Welcome to the School Year!

Welcome back, returning families, and welcome, new families! We hope you had a great summer.

We're Angela Whittington, Lauren Yearwood, Sarah Wake, and Shanele Vaughn, the 2026-2027 Early Childhood (EC) Council for the Parents' Association. Thank you for being part of our community. We're excited for the year ahead and want the EC Council to be a resource for you. Reach out anytime with questions, concerns, or feedback.

Events

We have planned events, speakers, and programs for the year. Watch for announcements in monthly eNews, Principal Letters, or check the ESH Division page on the PA website. Additionally, the Lab calendar can be located here.

Volunteering

None of this happens without volunteers! There's an opportunity to fit almost any schedule or interest. Come to the Volunteer Engagement Fair on Friday, September 11th from 8:10am-9:30am in the Main Lobby of Earl Shapiro Hall to learn more. Lab ARD and other PA groups will be there. It's a great way to meet people, support the school, and get to know Lab better.

Room Parents

Want to be more hands-on with your child's class? Become a room parent. You'll help with things like Halloween parties, teacher appreciation, class potlucks, and parents' night out. Class assignments come out Monday, August 17 we will send separate correspondence to sign up once you know your child's class.

We can't wait to meet new families and reconnect with returning ones!
